Welcome to a new beginning for Dr Sheep and the Aardvark. 

The new adventures begin with the strip posted above, which strangely enough features neither Dr Sheep or the Aardvark, but they’ll be along soon enough.  Watch this space.  Well not this exact space, maybe about three inches up.

Readers of the old strip might find it useful to know that I have drawn a line between the new strips and all the old stuff.  Every single strip from the past is available in the Archive (listed under Historical Archive), but from here on in, it is as if they had never happened.  So when the sheep and ‘vark meet in just a few strips time, it’ll be their first meeting.  The old strips have a few things in them that don’t fit the new storyline, but to tell you what they are would be to give the game away.

In addition to the new strip, is this brand new web site, with its nice clean design and layout.  I built it using Joomla open source code and it has made posting new pages a doddle.  I can now schedule pages to go live in the future, so if I draw the strips at the weekend, I can set them to post themselves automatically on a Monday, Wednesday and Friday while I’m miles away sipping champagne and eating scotch eggs.  Or whatever it is my sort do.

The look of the strip has changed somewhat from the old days.  I switched from a PC to a Mac a few months back and have found the Mac’s Comic Life software fantastic to work with.  I can now produce Dr Sheep and Aardvark strips that look much more polished, with a lot less effort than the method I used back in the day.  I’ve already drawn up quite a few strips and I look forward to getting some feedback on them.  Hint, hint.

Anyway this bear won’t wrestle itself…
